Stolen Alert – Los Angeles, CA – 1977 SG Guitar Serial #138717

Stolen Alert – Los Angeles, CA – 1977 SG Guitar Serial #138717

Louise Post of Veruca Salt had her brown 1977 SG Guitar Serial #138717 stolen as the band was leaving for the Sundance Film Festival. A distinguishing feature is the black Earvana nut which is unlike anything Gibson uses. There is also a wear mark by the neck pick-up that should also make it easy to spot.

There was also a ZT Lunchbox Amp in a blue canvas carry on bag, personal suitcase, etc.

Any info can be forwarded to me or the band directly. Photos available on Veruca Salt FB page

Stolen Alert – San Francisco, CA – Back Stradivarius Trumpet

Make: Back Stradivarius
Model: 180s37
Serial Number: 587402

The trumpet was taken from our parked car near Fisherman’s wharf. The window of the car had been smashed in. This trumpet means so much to me. I have countless memories of performances and auditions with this trumpet. My husband wanted me to start giving him lessons, so I brought it with me to San Francisco, and now it is gone. Playing this trumpet made me so happy, and I am truly saddened no longer having it in my life.

Stolen Alert – Lincoln, NE – Jean Baptiste Alto Sax

My alto saxophone is a Jean Baptiste. It is very important that I find it, because it is my mom’s. I am in my college’s band, so I really need my saxophone back. It went missing about 1 month ago. The case is a soft black Jean Baptiste zip up case. Inside my case I had a white shirt. My neck strap is fat, black, and  has blue and pink zig zag stripes. My mouthpiece has a white top with a tiny chip on the white part. I had a pink Jean Baptiste cleaning cloth inside the case. I also had a few boxes of 2 1/2 reeds. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Please send an email to speterson@mcitylogistics.com if you have any information regarding my saxophone.

Stolen Alert – San Francisco, CA – Bach Stradivarius Trumpet

Make: Bach Stradivarius
Model: 180s37
SN: 587402

My trumpet is one of my most valuable possessions. I have had it for 13 years and it is so depressing to no longer have it. It was played countless auditions and concerts and produced the most beautiful tone. It was something that I thought I would carry into my old age.

Stolen Alert – La Jolla, San Diego, CA – Y. Chen Cello

My cello and bow got stolen out of my car today in La Jolla, San Diego CA. I had acquired only a few months ago and it took me many years and a lot of hard work to save the money for it. I’m feeling pretty devastated and shocked by this event.
The cello is a Y. Chen, Maker’s Series, made by Yunhai Xu, 2012
And the bow is made by M. Pereira Brasil

Stolen Alert – San Diego, CA – Taylor 310, Fender Strat Orange, Fender Tele Blue

Stolen Alert – San Diego, CA – Taylor 310, Fender Strat Orange, Fender Tele Blue

Please help! My studio was broken into while away over New Years. The burglar(s) took all of my guitars, while neglecting my valuable computer, rack gear, and pedals. They also took my only tube mic. To my surprise, they managed to find all the matched cases and I don’t know all the serials yet (working on it!). I really love and cherish these guitars. In my hunt to find them, I’ve been searching on google, craiglist, etc. and just seeing pictures of the same guitars makes me a little pathetic. I trust and play these instruments all day, every day. The stolen items are below:

Taylor 310 Dreadnought- 2005ish- natural finish- scratched to high heaven with a bent G-string tuning head. Evidence of removed pick-up system. All of the bridge pegs are black save for one white (D string). When taken, it had a woven beige cloth strap that was tied to the neck with a black shoestring.

Fender American Deluxe SStratocaster 2004ish- orange finish with tortoise shell pickguard (my modification) and rosewood fretboard. It has a bridge humbucker that can’t be switched to single coil. Newer versions allow for switching. It will not have the original whammy bar. The original leather strap was taken.

Fender Thinline Telecaster Reissue- 2002- daphne blue semi-hollow with pearl pickguard, dual humbuckers and maple fretboard. This Mexican-made guitar is my favorite. It has a noticeable chunk of finish taken out near the jack. The neck humbucker is a little loose and the tone knob is missing. You can still see bits of the factory pickguard plastic wrap under the knobs.

Black SX precision bass- 2010ish- maple fretboard. There’s nothing really unique about it, but I still miss it. It had a colorful Fender strap when it was taken.

Dave Pearlman TM-1 tube mic- serial number 557- stainless- they left the case, the original power adapter, and the shock mount. This mic sold on its own would be suspect.

Thank you for your help!

Stolen Alert – Denver, CO – Eastman VL80st Violin

My 12 yr old daughter’s violin was stolen out of our vehicle in the parking lot of our condo complex on November 19th. This is only a week after she had it autographed by a musician that visited her school and whom she got to play with. I won’t mention the name only because I’m sure the thieves have no clue who it is.
My daughter is very into her music and this has been devastating. I am a single mother of three and cannot afford to buy her a new one.
If anyone comes across an Eastman VL80st with a signature (if it’s still there) on the body and in a custom silver or metallic hard case please let us know! Serial number is 10831496
Thank you!

MESA BOOGIE ROAD READY 15 BASS GUITAR CABINET was stolen out of my car during the start of Dec. 2015.  There were some stickers on the front that included a peace sticker, and an Andre The Giant sticker also.  Most distinctive are the larger grey casters that are not original to the cabinet that make it very easy to roll around.

Stolen Alert – Las Vegas, NV – LADO Super Strat

Posted on Friday, December 18, 2015

Stolen Alert – Las Vegas, NV

LADO Super Strat – Early 80’s vintage. Very custom guitar. Paint looks like a green lizard scale, and the paint is weather cracked to look like lizard or alligator scales. Has a Floyd Rose Black tremelo, and PINK Pick ups. Very rare.
Important guitar for many reasons…
– Featured on Lado brochures with Rych Chycki, engineer from Rush.
– Was used on many albums and tours, including Phil Collins Tribute No Jacket Required tour.
Was in normal hardshell case with blue furry lining.
Was stolen late Oct. 2014 from a Public Storage facility. The perp was caught and jailed for 4 months. They let him go due to faulty finger print work. The instrument was never recovered, but some other items from the locker were recovered. Please help me find this beautiful guitar, at least valuable to me. Reward Available.

Stolen Alert – Las Vegas, NV – BC RICH MOCKINGBIRD – BLACK

Posted on Friday, December 18, 2015

Stolen Alert – Las Vegas, NV

BC RICH MOCKINGBIRD – BLACK
Made in 1979-80. One of the first ever made with solid black color. Was handmade by Mr. Rico himself. Very custom guitar.
I removed the BC Rich electronics and installed active EMG pickups, with chrome neuraled knobs, and chrome beauty plugs where the other BC electronix switches were. It has a very custom Washburn Tremolo, non factory that is installed on 2 pieces of shim ebony. The guitar locks are also changed to the pull pin type, not the push pin factory ones. The case is silver aluminum road case with formed foam to fit the mockingbird shape. The case is made by Clysdale case of Ontario Canada, and has a beige, or champagne colored furry inside. You may find a korg tuner and some orange tortex picks, plus possibly a small Snap-on screwdriver and a wrench in the utility compartment.
There are war wounds from being dropped on the head stock, the large mockingbird horn, and the butt edge. The back of the neck paint is worn out by usage and polishing.
Important guitar for many reasons…
- Featured on some top selling songs.
- Was used on many albums and tours, including Phil Collins Tribute No Jacket Required tour.
Personal instrument that I owned for 36 years.
Was stolen late Oct. 2014 from a Public Storage facility. The perp was caught and jailed for 4 months. They let him go due to faulty finger print work. The instrument was never recovered, but some other items from the locker were recovered to prove his guilt. Please help me find this beautiful guitar, at least valuable to me. Reward Available.

Thank you to anyone and everyone who will share this. I know that alot of the smaller stuff (guitar pedals, microphones, etc) will be a long shot, but someone may try to sell them all as a group. Who knows. Hopefully something comes up somewhere.

Thank you to everyone who shared it the first time. I really appreciate it. I would ask if you could please share it again with the updated information. There’s no telling where my guitars/gear could show up.
And thank you for all of your kind words of encouragement and all the outpouring of love and support. You all have been nothing short of amazing. Thank you all so much.

Stolen Alert – Montreal, QC – Howarth XL Oboe #5649

I have had this oboe since 2008 and would really like to play this instrument at my final graduating recital in April.

Instrument stolen with hard and soft case.
Soft case has a shoulder strap, the hard case has green velvety material inside.  Case had wooden oboe reed case, small wooden cutting block, 2 white goose feathers and a paintbrush stored inside soft case pocket.

Instrument stolen out of school locker in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
