Stolen Alert – Las Vegas, NV

Made in 1979-80. One of the first ever made with solid black color. Was handmade by Mr. Rico himself. Very custom guitar.
I removed the BC Rich electronics and installed active EMG pickups, with chrome neuraled knobs, and chrome beauty plugs where the other BC electronix switches were. It has a very custom Washburn Tremolo, non factory that is installed on 2 pieces of shim ebony. The guitar locks are also changed to the pull pin type, not the push pin factory ones. The case is silver aluminum road case with formed foam to fit the mockingbird shape. The case is made by Clysdale case of Ontario Canada, and has a beige, or champagne colored furry inside. You may find a korg tuner and some orange tortex picks, plus possibly a small Snap-on screwdriver and a wrench in the utility compartment.
There are war wounds from being dropped on the head stock, the large mockingbird horn, and the butt edge. The back of the neck paint is worn out by usage and polishing.
Important guitar for many reasons…
- Featured on some top selling songs.
- Was used on many albums and tours, including Phil Collins Tribute No Jacket Required tour.
Personal instrument that I owned for 36 years.
Was stolen late Oct. 2014 from a Public Storage facility. The perp was caught and jailed for 4 months. They let him go due to faulty finger print work. The instrument was never recovered, but some other items from the locker were recovered to prove his guilt. Please help me find this beautiful guitar, at least valuable to me. Reward Available.
